We were away for 6 weeks, and it seems like it was so long ago, we've been home almost a month already. I had planned to get these photos up sooner, but had major computer trouble and didn't want to lose them. Here's a taste of my 1000+ photos.
Most of these are in the hot house at the Wellington Botanical Gardens, taken between Christmas and New Years.

And it looks like you truly had a BLAST!!! Ü
Thank you for sharing and giving us a wonderful mini-holiday Linda!!! I think you covered most (if not all) the plants we all drool over and what a wonderful treat to see them all blooming!!!

Did you bring any plants home with you???
Thanks Linda for the effort to send to us. My hoya thanks you. It is 3 generations old. I got it from my grandma. NZ is spectacular. Did you get any tatoos?
Pam, I didn't bring plants, but i have a bunch of seeds. I'll list them when I find them,
Soferdig, LOL, I did get a henna tattoo on my ankle that lasted a month. I already have 3 tattoos that I had before going to NZ. My stepdaughter has many tat's and plans for a few more. Most ofher friends also have tat's. It's a very tat friendly culture.
Tat friendly. I'm getting quite and education on the language of skin work. Tat friendly tis friendly. I want to go to the south Island and kayak the coastline someday.
Loved your pictures. You sure had a nice day for the cable car ride. We took it on Good Friday 2001 in gale force winds. So windy that the ferry to the South Island was cancelled. Our second trip to NZ was Nov-Dec 2002 and the weather was more like you experienced. Don't you love the way there are flowers all along the roads?
What were your most memorable moments in NZ? Places?
We loved every bit of our two trips and would go back in a flash given a good opportunity.

Wonderful pictures Linda. My DH and I hope to take a delayed honeymoon in NZ sometime within the next couple of years (must save money first - that means no spending on gardening and landscaping - oh dear, what to do, what to do!). It was nice to get a sneak preview so to speak. --Ginny
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos Linda. Looks like is was a wonderful trip. I too, enjoyed seeing that lovely bank of Brugmansia... and the plummies. Ü

Thanks for sharing some of your trip photos with us Linda. Yes, it looks like you had a fabulous time there.
Linda
It sure looks like a great place!! All the flowers WOW ! What fun you must have had there. That Maori fellow looks fierce! LOL
Thanks for sharing your pics.

Linda, those photos are super!!! I remember the kiss between the Maori people.....do you?? Elaine
Yes Elaine. I even got to see one that wasn't staged. There was an older man about 70+ and a younger man in his 50's came up to him. They clasped shoulders, touched together their brows and shared a deep breath. It was very nice to see a "real" greeting like this.
I've been getting my photos organised. When I have them posted on a site, I'll put the link here for all to see. I don't get much computer time anymore when running after a 7 month old lean chewing machine, named Cooper!
It looks like you had a great vacation Linda. How I would love to visit NZ. Your photos are excellent. I'm anxious to see the rest of your pix when you get them uploaded to your site.
