Yes I was impressed, it was from www.jacquesamand.com they deal in speciality bulbs, have a US store too. Most bulbs are very fresh, but this possibly came from elsewhere originally. I can't wait to see the flowers, this one is really wierd!

very real shot of a tuberous wonder
just ready to go places.

Did it flower for you?

It has a long stem with a really dark green trifoliate leaf (I should take a pic but need to prop the stem up). I thought I was going to get a spathe, I could see the start of one at the base behind a sheath, but it didn't manage to make. Perhaps next year, it is large and I would expect capable of producing a spathe. I have it in a largish pot in the garage near a window, as it's been very cold I like to give it a fighting chance. I have other Arisaemas kept in pots in a cold greenhouse, until they are big enough and well established it can be risky putting them in the ground, so I hope to have an increase of bulbs before I try it.

I did put a good sized A. griffithii in the ground, 10" deep about 5 years ago. It took 2 years to show, then had 2 leaves for 2 years, and didn't show again last year. I imagine it is still there, I am tempted to have a little dig, I think it should still be there. It may do better in a pot!
