You think your suffering try to be a Yank! Not a lot of fun. Ahh for a good hockey game that I could get excited about. I need to get up to Calgary!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

It sure feels good to get it back doesn't it Linda. :)

I take it you'll be visiting Calgary soon Sofer ;)

The fall that our Marie-France Dubreu took sure was a heartbreaker: http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/sports/figureskating/stories/index.shtml?/story/olympics/national/2006/02/20/Sports/icedance_dubreuil060220.html

I LOVE HOCKEY. I grew up at Michigan State University and we had fun watching the greatest game. I worked in Great Falls for 7 yrs and became a great fan of the Great Falls Americans. But the town did not support them and we lost them. So Calgary you are my team. Though I hate Lethbridge! They are the enemy to my Americans.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

jagonjune's not gunna be loving you as much Sofer but fancy will be pleased.

Go Lethbridge Go!!!

How much pride do you have after receiving a gold metal in hockey! I am envious of the feeling they must have had. Think about the life long freindships. Go Canada! From a yank who honors you.

Canada/Pride/Hockey??????? Not us! ;)

Yep seems a number of athletes this year are having that problem.

BTW if you become an Oiler fan I'm sure Lynn (jagonjune) would be happy to see you and your DW here: http://www.unheardof.com/ She's the owner/chef.

Sofer, a little mostly unknown fact to most CDN's is that hockey isn't our national sport, although a lot of us think it should be. Have you ever heard of lacrosse? That's our Nat'l sport.

It's been great having those girls (women) win the gold, they really are a powerhouse in the sport.

Linda

Yeh, Martin!!! Way to go.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

yeah we yanks know all too well about lacrosse. The Hurons used it to take us out of Michilmilimac back when we first had it in the beaver business.

Unfortunately it is a political opinion so we just have to ignore it. But any other opinions about sports we would be happy to consider.

Way to go, Canada.

Thank you for training me to consider what I say. I have lived too long as a yank to hold back without thinking. thank you for the help. Is the hockey game tonight. I havn't been watching all the time. We only get programing for what yanks might win. The rest is left out.

Hey Steve. Can you teach an old dog new tricks? I watched the hockey game live this morning. They showed it again tonight on CBC. Our goalie, Martin Brodeur, really saved our bacon, IMHO. Course I heard a lot of the same opinion about it this morning. We get two weeks solid Olympic coverage on CBC. I am ready for it to be over so I can watch my Coronation Street again.

Think you better get trained fast. I'm sure you saw what David did this aft.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

what did breezymeadows do? I need to learn. I'm not stupid but I am dumb.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

She wouldn't listen to Dave's warnings.

Go Girls!!
I am so proud of these women even though I don't know any personally. What a huge amount of spirit they must have to drive themselves to be the best in the world.
I wanted to thank the Coach from Norway? who handed a new pole to one of our girls which enabled Canada to get a silver which bumped his own team into 4th. Now that's what the Olympics are all about!
