ok...tell me what this is?...think i made it too easy..
name this flower and win a AV leaves....
petunia?????
yup, looks petunie to me... are yours blooming right now? They are a few months away from even being safe to plant here.
I love the trailing kind in hanging baskets. My sis grows them very nicely!! I on the otherhand get the bud worm like nothing else!!
I think you got it Spider.Looks like a petunia to me.
laurie..those are the WAVE PETUNIAS..prob your sis has..they are neat...these have been blooming for a while..i put some in the stacking pots lorry gave me
I did consider a couple of other possibilities, but kept coming back to Petunia also... But now the question is, which *variety* of petunia, LOL?
I'm guessing 'Wave Pink' or possibly 'Supercascade Pink'.
Hah! Bob, I was typing while you were posting... Do I get any credit for figuring out the variety? ;-)
jill...it's not the wave petunia..but it's pretty pink.....and on your birthday..of course you get credit...lol...
Oh, sorry, you meant Laurie was talking about wave petunias, not that yours was one....
Do you know the variety of yours? (not sure if you meant 'Pretty Pink' or that it's pink & attractive or that it's really quite pink! Guess I'm having syntax confusions today.)
(and yah, I'll take credit for anything today, LOL)
jill...i don't know what kind of toonie it is...here they just slap them in a container and walmart sells them for 84 cents..or something like that...lol....i do know the Wave's are very expensive...but suppose to really hang and branch well...soon you'll see their ad on tv again...i'm sure..
I've grown 'Purple Wave' (more of a magenta pink color than purple IMO) and 'Lavender Wave' from seed and really loved them! The seeds are expensive too, but more cost effective than buying the $5 plants... Hmmm, maybe that's what we should use along the front bed again this year....
jill..that would have a stunning SPLASH..effect....which is what you want
I planted 'Purple Wave' petunias along the edge of the front foundation bed a couple of years ago, and they were great! DH complained when they grew 2 or 3 feet into "his" lawn, so I had to hold the plants up & away a couple of times while he trimmed the grass under them with the weed wacker.
jill...you better get THAT SCENE..in their commercials...they would love it..
