Well first.. Thank You very much to whom ever sent me the burgandyish colored hard seed pods, they look like dried beans. I wrote your name and what they were down on apiece of paper with the intentensions of putting it my trade tracker and I forgot, again. 40 lashes for me....So THANK YOU for the seed =o)) and I'll plant them and see what I've got...Lauri

Those are pretty,but they won't grow in my zone..Well they will but they need to be treated as a house plant..But just maybe if you pot me up one I might be able to find a home for one.. ;o))

Demstratt,

The seeds of the castor bean are not prickly, though the seed pod is.
Once the shell is removed, the seeds are actually very attractive, looking
like an exotic bead.

Around here we grow the BoP's in pots that can come in in the winter. If you put them outside for the summer, then bring them in when it cools, they are quite happy and produce wonderful flowers!
