I have been toying with the idea of planting one of these trees ever since I first read of it. Could someone tell me if the fruit is really good to eat? Pros or cons????

http://www.british-trees.com/guide/strawberrytree.htm. Fruit is edible. Usually used for jams and jellies. They are not the most tasty fresh fruit. But the evergreen tree is very ornamental.

There is a reason it is called Arbutus "unedo". I have Arbutus Manhattan, a ground cover. Probably unedible also.
