whooooooooooo....can't afford that with my new HIGH electric bill from FPL...
You too rates just keep going up. My bill last month was twice as much yet we used less than last year.
allison..the rate hikes are terrible...and especially when they made billions..but they keep saying they have to pass it on to us....with my meager income...i am going to apply for help with the utilities.....don't know if i'll be successful.
did you really let me know Our income is so low Mediciad pays my Medicare premiums. I wonder if I can ? Our Lot rent went up, Electric, cable, gas, food,
SSD gives a tiny raise but not near to cover everything and it all went up at once. I use to make super good money but as you know and others when your set low income it can get hard.
yes Allison..you and i are in the same boat pretty much....course when i moved here to care for my parents...i had some good savings...but their health care took most of that...but i'm not complaining...i make do with what i have....i will try and find the email thread for help in florida with utilities...there is federal money available...and i'm sure we both fall into the "poverty" area...at least I do...thank goodness i own my mobil home.
Yes we are in the low income. We own out Mobile home but we paid a thousand dollars for it. lol We did have electric up-dated and central A/C and heat put it . They never has A/C here just window air and that was 6K along. It needed everything fown from the house jacked up and put new floor joses ( SP) to hold the bedroom up and new plywood floors threw out home pretty much everything. The one we bought before this one we paid 45 hundred but did not live in it for 8 months Robert totaly gutted it and did over.
This one we did not live in for five months but our income dropped again in half in Sept 2005 so we needed to sell one and were still finishing this one up. We were having to pay double lot rent all those months. Luckly I did sell our other home in two weeks ! I did get a goverment grant for my deck ramp. It's built to code. It was a lot of paper work and took at least a year to get it. The state worker from Adult protection service helped me filling out all the forms for me and even pushing it along but still took a long time but I am so happy and blessed to get it. It cost more than our trailer :))
It's hard for me to beleive how low our income is when I had an excellent paying career before I got sick. We combine don't even have a 5th. of the amount I was making 6 years ago.
Oh well I'll tell you what it's ours and it beats the hek out of being in the Nursing home !
