Hi Rose,
I've read about hardy hibiscus and I think they're beautiful but there seems to be some variability in the zones they are hardy in. Do you think yours would survive a zone 6 winter? If so I would love to get a cutting.

Hi Katlian,
I am not sure . It is planted in the gound here, and I don't cover it up when were get the rare freezes,. We had one last weekend ,but it never hurt the plant. We are suppose to get one tonight too. Do you get snow or a lot of freezing weather?

I have the following for trade. Which would you want for a red hibiscus cutting?

Pedilanthus tithymaloides (varigated Devil's Backbone) cutting
Amaryllis (pink and white 'Apple Blossom")
Cannas - tall with small petal watermelon-pink bloom
Double red Christmas Cactus
Irises -tall blue, and medium wine/tan, tall yellow
Shrimp Plant cutting
oxalis regnellii triangularis (several corms)

Please let me know,
Louise

thanks calalily. i am enlightened. and by the way all the plants still look great. rose, that hibiscus almost looks like a tropical. maybe it's just my winter tired eyes seeing all that brilliant color popping out of the page. it's a beauty. what kind of plants are you looking for? it's hard to compete with all you down south folks for variation and startling color in plants. i have a hibiscus (flame) but it looks pretty much dead right now. i do have some hot pink hardy hibiscus stalks in a bucket of water. lmk what you are looking for. thanks for the picture.
