well i stopped at walmart on way home from gym this morning...and they had some opt's in...some we already have..but i was struck by the GIANT size of the blue/purple opti's....the pics i have taken are not catching as much of the purple as they really are...
more optimara's from walmart
guess that didn't really help....but they are quite nice i thought....hard to go wrong for $1,.94....a piece
Bob, those are great! Do they have name tags or are they noids? Love the fuschia one!
do you want some cuttings of Lipstick vine when I come? I also have some Strep leaves I can share with you. Let me know...
laurie..sure that would be great....these are just noids...no names...but i was struck by the large size of them...one is almost as big a small dinner plate.....they did have what i call rose begonias...is that the name?..they looked like roses blooming
perhaps Reiger begonias? I have one in my ghse that is putting out new growth - finally, it's been struggling for so long now, but they sure are lovely when they bloom.
I'll bring some variegated Lipstick (sent a baby to Ali) and if you like golfish, mine is blooming and I have babies down. What about Streptocarpella? I bought a big one the other day. (all gessies)
laurie..sounds great to me...yyou know it might have been a reiger...normally i can spot them though..course maybe wasn't thinking...lol...but it was pretty...might not have been areiger though as these were only 3.88...and usually the reigers are in the $7.00 range
just counted the leaves on the largest of the blue/purple...and it has 27 leaves....that would make each leaf under 8cents a piece...roflmbbo
Good deal and the named ones on line Optimara charge so much for leaves. The Annabelle plant I bought they sell two leaves of her for $ 9.00 . She is exclusive to them.
I think Isabelle is the other plant in the series and all
I see sold is leaves of her I think were $ 9.00 for the set. I love bell flowers so I may get her leaves to go with Annabelle. If you ever seen any of the Optimara Little please pick them up for me Bob. I have plants of two of them and leaves of Little Ruby. And Amy is sending me some leaves her store had them and named Everfloris Space Babies :))
allison..i certainly will look for you...are they called "optimar little"?...ah on the everfloris....i haven't looked up the names on the ones i've posted...i've been busy putting down the strep leaves...i hope i didn't wait too long to put them down...we'll see how they do and i hope i put the RIGHT end into the perlite...lol
