sweet woodruff please

Sultan, WA(Zone 8a)

I would like to try this plant in my yard. I have a shady area in my yard that doesn't seem to want to grow anything. I've heard this plant isn't picky.
Do you have any you would be willing to send me for postage?

Thanks!

Arrianne - I'd be happy to send some come spring time, if you still need it. D-mail me when the weather turns and let me know.

I have had great luck with sweet woodruff, and I love the smell.

The weather here is downright balmy. I'll take it whenever you're ready to send it, so let me know how much I can send you to cover postage.

Thanks! Do you have a hard time keeping it under control?

I'ts 1 degree here with a windchill of -11- what I would give for "downright balmy"! I can fill a Flat Rate box fairly easily - they cost 8.10 to ship, and I can probably get 10-12 little plants or more in there bareroot. If there are other goodies you're interested in, I'll also have pulmonaria Mrs Moon, a nearly unlimited supply of lamiastrum, several tradescantias (osprey and bluestone), etc. I started building my tradelist for spring, but I have a lot of winter sowing going so I may have a lot more. Depending on the weather, it will probably be a good month or so before I can ship the gallium.

It smels like fresh hay when you step on it or nick it with the edge of the mower. It's slow the first and second years, then pops in year three. I don't have any problem keeping it under control here - I have a lot of space to fill, so when it starts getting out of hand I just split it and move 1/2. Another way to keep it from going too nuts is to let it dry out every now and then. It likes humusy moist soils so a little dry keeps it from going gangbusters.

It sounds like it will be perfect then. Under a hemlock tree I have a spot that gets am sun but it stays dry unless we get a good drenching. Oh! I would like to try a pulmonaria, I saw it in a catalogue and thought it was lovely.

I'll wait then, closer to the time that zone 4 starts to thaw out and I will send you $8.10 then for a flate rate box.

Done deal! I've got you added to my list of trades for spring so that I don't forget

Thanks again!
You're a real pal!
