Need Rex ID

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I've never had one before my son sent me a Valentine's Day gift! I have no idea what this might be. Any ideas?

You could take a look at Lyons web site to see if there's a match.

That's a beauty! I have no clue as to who you've got - so many of them are very similar. Congratulations on your gift and having such a thoughtful son :-)

Based on the pics, looks like Rex Begonia 'Tornado' to me.

Hi, I am pretty sure this begonia is one that I have. If not it looks identical. Mine is Lucille Closson. I am almost positive that your plant is the same one I have. Hope this helps. By the way she will get nice and big. I have mine in a hanging basket and last summer she was just georgous. I didn't bring her into my house for the winter because she got so big. I put her in my dad's greenhouse and I cut her back a bit, cutting off all the old leaves. I can't wait to be able to hang her out . Probably if you will plant her in a nice size pot, she will fill it out nicely for you.
