I'm baking him a Chocolate Velvet Cake (recipe available if anyone want's it.) He has a ferocious sweet tooth!

And Arcturus is blooming right on schedule! this blossom has lasted a long time! And it's huge, over 2 inches!

My hubby is working today, so I guess we'll just have to celebrate tomorrow. That's alright, though, after all these years, I'm used to him having to work holidays. He had to work this past Christmas Day. That's the one I really hate for him to have to work. I've developed the attitude that it's not the holiday unless he's home, and that's the way we work it. :o)

Yes, I don't know if we'll be celebrating Valentine's tonight or later... If DH is working late, we'll just dub another day as V Day!

I confess that I didn't make the cute heart dangle on the wreath, I just picked it up (for $3) at JoAnns. I added a couple of rose "vines" from the dollar store to a wreath that I had, and -- ta dah! Actually, the best touch was the snow that blew onto the front porch and dusted the wreath. :-)

I know DH is hoping to be home in time for the Duke game, and he's promised to pick up pizza from my favorite place... not exactly fancy romance, but it'll suit us tonight!

I was hoping 'Rob's Love Bite' would bloom again for me today, but no such luck. However, I did have a gorgeous red & white amaryllis ('Striped Panther') open up this morning... :-)

We watched Wallace and Gromit for Valentine's day and I have to tell you, WATCH it! It's a HOOT!
Anyone who loves dogs (Gromit) and is a gardener (the theme is gardening) you'll love it!

If you've never followed the Wallace and Gromit series, I highly recommend it!

of course we ate the Death by Chocolate Cake that I made. (with butter cream/cream cheese frosting! Arrrrgh... do not pass go, do not collect $200.00, go straight to Laurie's hips and behind!)

There's not much left! DH took some for lunch, I skipped two meals so I could have it for lunch LOL, and my friends are on their way over to have what's left!
