What a hideous noise my PC is making ... HP pavillion 7935. It's on for maybe 4-5 hours per month ... very little since I got my new job. About a year & a half ago, it was on almost all day long for about 3 months... Whole desktop (PC, keyboard, monitor, printer) set is about 4 years old.
Turned it on today... got everything running & going... when the fan (I think) starts making a ridiculous buzzing noise.. it's still doing it now, so I'll shut down soon & check this thread tomorrow at work.
Is it worth trying to fix? How would I even go about troubleshooting and/or fixing it? It's a wicked noise, like an old car engine running .. a noise it has never made before..
