divide those cannas.....

Most years...we can leave cannas in the ground here with mulch on top... I did dig some of mine this fall and left others in the ground... I want to divide some of the clumps in early spring as the new growth emerges...and then replant a big part of the clump...is this okay ?

Teresa... I have (assuming it comes back) tropicanna (in the ground).. I tried growing it in the pond but it just does better in the soil...
