Jan came to visit today ! We had a really nice time. She brought her famous gorgous Mosaic plant I love and she let me cut my own leaves off. I felt bad but I'm so thrilled ! I cut one right below a new bud ! That's the best leaf you can have !
I transplanted a couple of her new Ebay plants for her ! And gave couple small pots for her other two.
She brought me a gorgous blooming Orchid ! I'll have to post a picture of it tomorrw.
I showed her the Prettiest Pot Kenton painted for me a surprise gift. It has a Baby Moonbeam growing in it with buds ! I will be postings lots of pictures soon and gifts from Bob, and Lorry, and Jannich " Jan" :))
Yes everyday is Christmas at DG AV forum!
I sent Jan home with at least 40-50 plants ! It was cold so I wrapped them a little for trip home. After about 4 hours of great visit and her driving home and opening them all I bet she's exhausted from excitement of her pretty new babies. I think she only had one Av until she got the few from Ebay this week ! I took about 4 leaves from her Kid Carla :)) too !
In a month or two Jan come on over ( well you can come before then anytime also ) I'll have bunch more babies for you ! I should have Strep's big enough too !
Jan came to visit today !
Sounds like you had a wonderful visit! I wish I lived nearer... I'd come by and help Allison pot babies and pack boxes, LOL!
I can't wait to see photos!
Oh how fun! I am so glad you had a good time :)
I still need to make a trip over there to see you also :) Perhaps I can talk Chris into a road trip one of these weekends :)
That would be fun :))
sounds like you 2 had a great time! what fun.its great to meet the people you talk to online.Ummm I'm only 400 or so miles from you.Maybe I need a road trip this summer.I could help you repot all your babies.LOL
Hi,
I'm at work sneaking on for a few minutes.
Yes we had a real nice get together. Precious did not take to me right away and stuck like glue to her Mom until she got to know me.
Hopefully it was the smell of my dogs that put her off. LOL
Allison's plants are gorgeous.
Yep, I only had the one mosaic that I rescued a leaf from before the plant succumbed with 2 others to my newbie hands. I did have to twist Allison's arm to take some leaves.
Boy, it was better than Christmas unwrapping all those babies.
Yes, there were 44! I will be ordering different size pots soon to transplant them when I get the pot size requirements for each one.
I can wait till they bloom. I did bring 3 plants with me to work to keep me company. C. Moonlight, Chocolate Soldier & E. Teddy Bear.
My co-workers love them and can't wait until they are big enough to share.
Allison, Thanks so much for the great visit and your overwhelming generosity. Give Precious a hug for me.
Let me know if you need help packing or tranplanting babies. You're only about 20 minutes from work and a bit more from home.
Gotta get back to work now. Take care everyone.

Hi Bob,
I know what you mean. I'll be covering any plants I didn't have room for in the greenhouse of that are in the ground like my lychee. I do have a 3ft mango in the greenhouse that I am saving till spring. I put most of my potted plants in tight groups to make it easier to cover them tonight. BTW you should be getting your Bolivian Sunflower tomorrow.
Let me know if it doesn't survive the cold and I'll send another when it warms up.

Jan,
You have ot's of Dmail First Class info on your plants ! Enjoy :))
it certainly did seem like you had a wonderful visit. I too, can't wait for pics!!
Well we did not take pictures here sorry . But maybe Jan can take pictures of all her new plants. lol
Yes I will in a day or so. I got on in particular that I was thinking about getting called Rebel's Robin Crest. The name struck me when I first saw it as I used to breed and exhibit German Shorthaired Pointers and our bloodlines included dogs from a kennel called Robin's Crest and it brings back good memories to see it.
Jan...
Budgie..I have Rebel's Crested Robin and can put leaves down for you if you like..or send you a leaf packet.
That's very sweet of you but I did get one from Allison and it now resides in a place of honor on my work desk. LOL
Now if you have "Houdini".......LOL
What a wonderful visit I know both of you had! I wish I were closer so I could come visit you, Allison.
ditto Raingazer
Thank you all then you could come pots up your own babies and I would not have to ship them. But most of all to share your company :))
So envious that Jan and Allison got to have a real visit. Wish I was closer. Sounds like you guys had such a great time, and I can't believe you forgot to take pictures!!
Hugs to all,
Sharon
Too busy making friends with Precious. LOL. We'll get together again and take lots of pictures with us up to our necks in dirt. I took some pictures of my new babies last night but had a hard time uploading them so I'll try again tonight. Well, gotta get back to work.
