It's been nearly half a year since i was last on this webpage and i just wanted to let everyone know i'm alright and that i will resume posting as of now. I had some relationship trouble and then some financial trouble and i haven't had the time or means to participate but my life has evened out and i'm glad to be back! Please let me know if i left anything unfinished and i will be happy to try and amend it. thanks!

Welcome back Scott. Sorry about your problems, and am glad to hear things are straightening up. Keep your chin up. Life happens to all of us.

Years ago someone gave me a little framed saying when I was going through something that sounds a lot like what you've been through Scott. It says, "Pain and suffering are inevitable, misery is optional". At the time, because I was feeling so low, it felt a little like another blow, but then I got to thinking about it. I realized that only a true friend could be so boldly honest. That little saying has buoyed me through other storms along life's way and kept me from feeling "utterly destroyed" when I was betrayed by a friend. Given with friendship and the spirit of "I've been there" ........hope it helps you too.

And most of all, welcome back. :~)

An excellent saying - attitude is so important!

Glad to hear things are looking up for you.

Kachinagirl, Thank you so much for sharing that saying. I could have used it so many times. I will write this down and look at it often. At my age it's a little late for lots of the big hurts, but there may still be time for a few to come.
