It's hard to guess how much as most of it is in drifts, but I would have to guess that I have around 6-8" so far. I have to check to see how much longer it plans on hanging out..
How is everyone surviving the snow?
We're at 13-14" so far and it's still coming down steady.
Have shoveled 5 times today since 6:30am. Drifts are 2-3' !!
The birds have come to fisticuffs over the six feeders.
Annie
I would say we have 8 inches & still growing. Just got off the phone with someone closer to Hartford, THEY HAVE 2 FEET!! Andy, I imagine you too?
Dave
Make it a foot for me!
I can't tell - it keeps blowing. I heard earlier the Central Park has 22.5"!!! According to the weather jerk - they got 11" in 3 hours!!!
We've got at least a foot and change, and it's still going strong. I'm curled up with plant catalogues (instead of work) and hot chocolate, but my husband is skiing down East Rock, which is a big hill/cliff here in New Haven--yikes! At least somebody's enjoying it...
Meg
I hear the snow mobiles - too bad it's been so warm. If the lake were frozen they'd be havin' a field day
Meg, when your husband gets back you tell him, Dena," says your nuts!"
East Rock!!! That's sheer cliff!
who would have thought - extreme skiing...
Still blowing around in circles, here. Cape Ann usually gets the last of a Nor'easter before it goes out to sea...at least a foot accumulated, but with the drifting it's hard to say. TV showed a surfer in Winthrop (few towns south) actually getting a few short runs in. Brrr.
a surfer???...insane!!
Storm must be the only time he gets a surf. He was pretty well covered in rubber, everything except the eyes. But it does sound pretty crazy...
