mark i would like some of this. if i send a self addressed business size envelope how much postage does it need? thanks. barb allison let me know and i will send tomorrow.
Is it one of the invasive bamboos? If not, I would like to have some for planting on banks of a dry creek bed. Please let me know. I will send postage up front.
Thanks,
Louise
The horsetail rush over time can be pretty invasive...it likes to grow on its own and other plants stay away from it...it might release a chemical that keeps other competitors away....it's pretty though...gets about 3' tall...mark
FYI - Horsetail Rush (Equisetum) is not a member of the bamboo family, and is very invasive in many areas of the country - here's more information on the most common species: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/58186/index.html
This type of confusion helps make the case for the importance of botanical names when trading plants ;o)
Well Terry....sounds like it does "ACT" like bamboo :)
I have some of the dwarf horsetail...I like it but I like it best in a pot...
Dont be afraid to try it folks but it might be best potted.....
