Alamo Gold Rush from jack

this is another one from jack...the leaves on this one are badly damaged...the plants are quite wet still...is there any sense in trying to keep the wet leaves....?...i like the variegation...pink on leaves along with white

Beautiful Bob I love this plant :)) Better to always take any damage foliage and dead flowers off. No sense in having you plant putting it's energy into trying to get better. It's stressed enough from shipping. You can put down what ever parts of leaf are good if you want.

here's the pink sensation....same thing with the leaves...half the leaves are wet...but many good ones left.

Oh wow Bob beautiful. Are they mushy wet soggy beyond drying and repairing. I guess you got them yesterday leaves should be dry ? What happen were the plant too wet on arrival ? If so let Jack know he'll send new. I bought like way more than ten from him. They all came bad and he sent me a new box ASP .

no allison..only some of the leaves are a bit wet....so far.i think they'll be ok.....i'm just taking the plastic off

oops spoke too soon..several of them are wet and mushy leaves....i sent jack an email asking him to advise me..told him i had put some of the good ones on the forum and sent some folks to his site.

thanks patti...i know jacks violets is a good place...but some of these i haven't put pic up on are pretty wet....hope they will be ok

THIS one is in really good shape thank goodness..it's called RED FERRARI...and has all kinds of pinks variegations..

allison...the heat pad was at bottom of box..and very hard.......not all the leaves are like that..it appears just the outer rims....i guess it's no big deal...the leaves just feel wet...maybe they will dry out yet...i guess i could cut the wet ones off and try rooting them anyway...but the ods aren't good with that i know..

hi lorry...well i had an email from jack this morning...said to let him know which ones need replacing...i want to be fair as not the total plants are bad but about half of the leaves are wet..and soggy...i thought maybe they would dry out some...i'm taking the leaves off and maybe i can root some of them? one of the plants the SUPER DUPER...great pink blossoms biggter than quarter...is completely gone...they looked very well packed to me..but maybe the weather got them along the way...he shipped tuesday and they got here thursday at 5pm...

I still have not heard from him on the four free ones :(

It is very cool that he is replacing them though :) Good thing too since he is one of my favorite sellers :)

well i sent him an email...saying i want to watch them one more day and see if they're any better..i don't want to be unfair to him.

It's nice that he backs up his products! Some eBay sellers aren't so fair!

Lorry, I haven't heard from him on mine, either, but as cold as it is, I don't mind him hanging on to them for a bit longer.

It very well may be the weather RG...also he said something about personal problems...But I have placed TONS of orders from him and everything came in healthy and safe :) and he has great feedback :) so I am not worried about it
