Adorable!

Thank you! I think so, too. Hopefully, if I can control the urge to deadhead, I'll get some seed.

Lovely pic. I finally eliminated a black one a/c volunteers that were a bit much. Keeping seed is one thing.......... but Viola can produce a lot of volunteers so if I grow Viola again I will remove seed heads before winter.
I had difficulty getting a good pic of the black one. Soil nearby was brightly lit........ but black doesn't reflect much light. If I do it again, I will try to let more light into the Viola pic......... with less surrounding complications. I'm bidding on a Nikon micro lens at the moment on ebay.....

I have some volunteer problems, but I tend to compulsively deadhead after hard days at work, so usually my problem runs more to remembering not to when I want to collect seed. Also, since Texas heat gets way too extreme for violas, they tend to self terminate.
I'm also having difficulty getting good pics of my 'Atlas Black' pansy. It's so dark and velvety that all the detail gets lost and it just looks like a blob.
