As always ...stunning Bob :) thanks for sharing!
I need to lodge a complaint that our local HD does not carry AVs.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

well now and than i find some good ones...the one is marked a lot like the Dali..but it is more lavender than the Dali...and the maroon and white may be what they call rita....sometimes on the wrappers..they have the name of the growers which in this case is Costa Growers...who sell to ALL..HD's....so maybe a call would help?...quien sabe?

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Beauties Bob - they had the same ones at the HD by me

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

anita...very cool...these are really pretty...here' they're 2.50 a piece..walmart is usually 1.94...

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

There was a larger nursey by me that had them too! Must have been a big push on them by Optimara! I don't remember the price on them. I was suprised that they didn't have any named varieties. When I looked at the label, the Optimara label said to check their website for plant identification?

For identification of an Optimara violet click here:

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

yep that's what i did...and above i posted what i thought they might be....i think they're quite pretty

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

yep Kay..that's the site i always go to

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous!

Kay, I'm pretty sure Optimara has started selling a lot of unnamed violets, too... so if it didn't come with a name tag, you won't get a postive ID from their site. Still, it's fun to have a "looks like X" description of an Optimara noid!

Their Beautiful Bob ! I just love the thumb print blooms :)) OPtimara grow so many plants by the millions and never name them just to sell in stores, so does Ultra Violet, and you see a lot of Optimara Rhapsodie in the stores. I wish they would put names on them but many be Sprots or plants they never named .I've been told in 2003 they stopped naming them ? But who knows. I ordered an Optimara from a so called new series I think it's Southern Bells ? But I'd have to look to check. The plant has pretty bells flowers that I adore and is large plant supose to be an ever bloomer. Selective Garden also part of Optimara
says it is exclusive to them. They sell Optimara leaves and an other sight does but their any where from $ 6.50 a set to $ 7.50 on the other sight for one sight.
When you see the leaves or plants named ones on Ebay they go for pretty good prices. Their not easy to get a hold of cheap. Some people try collecting all the States or Cities, or one of their othere Series.
You can't beat the prices of you beauties ! And Amy bought a whole bunch named at her store ! She even bought the Everfloris Space babies for $ 10.00 each
which I would think rare to find in HD or any store and good price for them ! Amy hope your putting down leaves of all of them :))
Bob First Class has about 17 plants Optimara with patches .
A few like use. Then it depends on what the foliage is.

If you have a recipt from Walmart and take it to Home Depot when you buy their violets they will PRICE MATCH and beat Walmart's price by 10%! I bought two from HD tonite, had my Walmart recipt and they sold them to me for Walmart's price plus took another 10% off!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

hmmm..kay..will have to try that here and see if it works..thanks

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Way to go Kay! Bargain AV shopping at it's best!

Drumheller, Alberta, Canada(Zone 3a)

Boo hoo hoo I NEED a Home Depot! LOL We finally got a Wal-mart in town just last month but they only have the purple voilets.
None of these stunning colors! I really like the variety or bi-color flowers. Optimara Degas II is wonderful!
You guys have all done well! Keep up the good work!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh I like Optimara Degas II :)) I love patches always have !

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Not all HD's are the same - I have one north of me that has a great garden section - the one to my south is terrible.

Drumheller, Alberta, Canada(Zone 3a)

I will just have to start trading for leaves I guess.
But will have to wait until it gets warmer, weatherwise.
