Love that one, it's beautiful.

It is gorgeous, I must grow a new one from it, the stem gets quite thick on this. When I first got it, it grew quite tall and I made a standard, the branches then trailed and it was a sight! It does keep regrowing from the base, and gets through winter in a cold greenhouse, but I just don't get around to treating my fuchsias well as I take on too many other things. The nursery I got it from is Muncasters in Gainsborough, they are growers and breeders. I mentioned the size it got to, and they were surprised, as they had only got small plants from it. It does need lots of room though, I had put it in an old metal babies bath tub and it responded well.

Note how the green leaves at either side have formed a guard of honour, and the pistil is so long and pure white. The shorter filaments around it can just be seen at the base of the corolla, photography can give a good view of flowers we otherwise would only see a glimpse of.

That is sooooooooo purrrrrty! You have so many different and wonderful fuchsias in the UK. I guess this one you can't start from seed?

I don't remember seeing seed on it, the species are OK from seed, but hybrids need to be grown from cuttings, as they will not come true from seed even if you get some.

You do have a lot there as well, I found a link for someone else from the AFS, they do mail order and have 1,000 types, but here's one for a start with lots of pics and they do sell them

If you click on the fuchsia nurseries and garden site near the bottom you will find the other
