Hello!
This may be a long shot, but I thought I'd at least look into this. I collect, among other things, cacti and succulents. When I lived in OH, I was a member of a local cactus and succulent society club and really enjoyed it. Now that I have moved here, I don't have as many options as when I lived in the big city. Among those is a local CSS club. I have recently joined the Houston club, but it is a 1.5-2 hr drive one-way depending on traffic (meetings are 7:30pm on Wed night and I have class at A&M). I guess I thought maybe if there were some other people interested in these plants in the area and that didn't want to make the trip to Austin or Houston on a weeknight, maybe the solution is a more local club. I'll post this over on the cactus and succulent forum as well, I just thought since the Texas folks are here, this would be the place to start.

css club in college station?
blue eyes, I also live in College Station. As far as I know there is not a local club. We do have a local gardening club, but it meets during the day so I am not able to attend. We also have an active master gardener program and an orchid society.

Hello!
Yes, I had investigated into whether there was a club and found out that the closest were a good drive away. The reason why I posted about this is to see if there would be any interest in forming a club here. I would be more than willing to head this up but until I know there are people interested in having a club I can't do much. If you would be interested in this sort of thing or know someone who would be, please let me know.
Thanks! Kim
