Dahlia 'Collarette Dandy'
Dahlia

Taken 16th July, growing in my dahlia bed, very pale green foliage with white edges, small light pink to white flowers.

I think this shouldn't be in the fuchsia category LOL!

It's the leaves below, and it does show how it can look with other plants. I am getting some shots of the flowers soon when it starts to produce.

As there was no photo of one in PF I thought it would be a good idea to put one in.

Oups... Indeed. Sorry!

wallaby, do you know which Dahlia it is? It appears to be confusing for members to see the photo in this entry. Can we move it to the Dahlia entry now that you've uploaded other foliage photos to this entry?

Hi Joan, it's seed grown Dahlia variabilis 'Collarette Dandy' from T&M. I'm not sure of the variabilis part though.

If you want to move it that's fine with me :) Is it still confusing people?, that was two years ago.

I would need to change the wording if you do move it,

"Taken 16th July, growing in my dahlia bed, very pale green foliage with white edges, small light pink to white flowers. "

If that was read there should have been no real confusion.

It is confusing when you open the entry and the first photo is of a Dahlia. :) It even confused me.

If it's Collarette Dandy, that entry doesn't have any photos yet, and this would be a good one to have in it. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/163240/

Lol, OK then, I had lots of Collarette Dandy pics but not on this computer, they are on DVD so one day I might load them up!

Let me know when you move it and I will edit the words! :)

Adding that I do have some on this computer, so will see what I have and add a couple.

Thanks! I moved the photo, so it's now in the Dahlia entry.

I only got pics of one 'collared' one this year, mainly to take pics of bees! It was a terrbible summer!

I have uploaded one good pic of a different one. Some turn out without a collar and they are lovely, have a pic of a very dark black-red one. I don't suppose that would be acceptable?

If it's a photo of 'Collarette Dandy', then it should be fine in that entry. If it's a different cultivar, it should go in that entry. There are several cultivars that are collared.

They all came from the same packet of seed, a percentage don't have the collars. It would seem to be wrong without a collar, but is still from the same cultivar. Maybe I should leave it out, but it is very nice!

Thanks Joan and wallaby1 for moving this into the dahlia file.
