My AV seeds have sprouted!

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

I planted these seeds from Parks Seeds on January 14. I can see the wee littlest babies popping up today. (and believe me, I check twice a day!)

Here's the photo set of how I started the seeds. http://www.flickr.com/photos/begonias-photos/sets/72057594059053819/

I don't have any exciting photos to show of the new babies since they are smaller than a pin head at the moment (they are after all only one day old) but as soon as my macro can pick them up. I will post shots.

Seeds planted were, Parks Fantasy hybrids, Parks Tea Cup hybrids and Parks Fantasy Trailers (I think)

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Bob, I have purchased some at Trader Joes for $6, but have seen them as high as $9 Have you found some cool ones?

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Ok, if your eyes are real good, you can see the little babies. I used a party pick (the kind you put olives on in a martini... ) for size reference.

Thanks for the pics! I too started some of the same seeds from Parks and noticed a little activity yesterday. Wasn't sure if it was the real thing or not because they are so small. Hope I live long enough to see these grow up. :0)

I'll bet you and rv are going to be surprised at how quickly those babies grow.... at least, that's my hope!

rvsnbrk, Welcome to DG! I'm glad you found the AV forum, as it's a fun place! I wanted to bring your attention to another fun place -- my home, this coming Saturday afternoon! I'm throwing a party for Gardenwife (Kimberly) and Howie, who will be back in town for Howie's followup appointment after major & very successful back surgery last month. Please check out my thread in the Parking Lot forum, http://davesgarden.com/place/t/566234/

Aren't they just the cutest little tangs? :) I might have to try and grow some from seeds if I can have patience enough.
