Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Please help fellow Dgers. I need a recipe for Beef Stroganoff . Have lots of Sour Cream on hand at the moment(or white cream as my DH refers to it as) - I initially was going to use Round Steak but see several with ground beef. Open to all help and suggestions.....Why do some serve this dish with rice - others with noodles? Personal preference, nationality?????
