Someone on here was saying they are year old seeds. It didn't stop me, though. ; ) Just thought I'd let you know.

I've purchased gerbera seeds from eBay as well. The seller had individual colors listed and I bought watermelon red and a really vivid golden yellow. I got them about 4 mo. ago and am going to start them in a few weeks. The seed itself wasn't too expensive but the seller is in Canada and S&H was $3.50 for the first pack and .50 for each additional to the US. The seller is lynsey927156 and she's currently selling several colors of Gerberas. I had a good experience, no problems and she has good feedback. Hope that helped.

Hi woofie,
I collected a bunch of seeds off my gerberas last summer, far more than I can use. I haven't tried to germinate them yet but you can have some if you want to try. The colors of the parents were assorted reds, pinks, and oranges and I didn't try any special breeding, just collected the seeds as they ripened.

Hi woofie,
I sent off those Gerbera seeds yesterday morning and came home to find a big packet of poppies. Thanks for all the seeds; I'll have plenty to share with garden club at work.

Hey Woofie,

You know something? I found out they propagate easier by stem cuttings!

Let me know how the seeds do. Ok?

You can send postage for a rooted cutting next month; if they don't work out.

Yeah I do think some superthrive will help it. Just make sure you read how to dilute it down.

woofie, just as an experiment, I dug and potted 2 gerbera daisy's last fall, and put them with my houseplants, they got a smidge of water every two weeks, and I am seeing green on them now. So that is two less plants I will have to buy this year. Try it next year.

Hey Naturewalker, Can you give me some direction on how to propogate gerbers from cuttings? Ive had good luck with seeds, but have never been able to root from a cutting. I see in the post that you have had some luck with rooting them.

Did anyone order from Value seeds last year. I looked at their gerbera seeds too.
And a few others.
