Panama RoseRondeletia leucophylla (or splendens)

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

This plant I took from a cutting a couple of years ago because it was blooming its head off in a cold January. Got about 5' and almost as wide where it was growing. I just had it identified in the plant forum. It rooted super easy. I have it in a giant pot just not knowing if it was the biggest/noxious weed on the planet and I might need to destroy it. Seems it doesn't belong in that catagory--lol--so now; any tips on its care? It seems to like full sun and water when I think about it.

i had mine in a huge pot, placed in full sun until about 3:00, then shade and a good amount of water. i trimmed it back about a third every year. once the roots grew out of the pot and into the ground it didn't need near as much water. good luck with it, it's a great and reliable plant. debi
