I just picked up a couple of black Aechmeas and am wondering how much light and what kind of watering they want. Bright indirect light and a wet-dry cycle? How much light compared to a Billbergia?
I have Aechmea Prieto and Perez and this is a pic of one of them. I can't get over how dark and glossy they are!
Cultural tips appreciated.......

LOL Armando, I just got them from tropiflora and they are just single pups.
Do you know if they need different care? It seems with some plants the dark non-green ones want more light, and with others they want less....

Usually AECHMEAS take sun very well, thou they also do very well
