WOW thanks for the warm welcome!!!
I love to veggie garden, especially unusual stuff, odd colored carrots, tomaotes, squashes.
But my real passion is lilies and tropicals.
Lilies of any kind - daylily, trumpet lily. etc.
My tropicals range from Elephant ears, hibiscus, Giant Callas.
Trying to propagate White Cat Whiskers - patiently waiting LOL
Also started to collect a few small orchids this year as well.
So you could say I am a WIDE ranger!
Photo of my calla that just finished blooming a month ago.
Welcome. City of Dinos. What a wonderful museum you have. And flowers. Had to go to Fountain Tire and they had a quite lovely display of lilium. Blew me away actually.
Inanda, usually in Manitoba, currently battling wind and waves in BC
Welcome from a wanna be Canadian. We here in Kalispell Montana are blessed with the same challenges you have in Eastern Alberta. Nice orchid!
Yes our museum is very nice. It has had a lot of changes with new exhibits added over the past 3 years. That is where I happen to work!
Welcome cc, from North Vancouver, BC......across the pond! We are expecting some sunshine this coming week........ooooohhhhhhhhhhh I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elaine
I can relate Elaine,
I lived in Burnaby for 23 years. Finally got tired of the constant rain!
So here we are in the desert ;)
Welcome from another albertan. Drum is a great place to live, work and garden. What do you do at the Tyrrell?
Thank you jagonjune,
Yes it is a great place. Some times too dry for gardening, spend hours watering but I still love it.
I am a Preparation Technician at the Museum. In other words a dinosaur bone cleaner. :) I just love it!
My grandparents and some friends live in Edmonton so we are there once in awhile.
Welcome Ccino from Mississauga, Ontario!
I told my 7yr old son (a dino fan) what you do for a living. His eyes went wide and he said that you have the coolest job. We plan to visit family in Edmonton, in August 2007, so I imagine we'll have to visit your museum now that my son knows about it,lol. Are there opportunities for kids to touch dino bones? That would make his day.
Erynne
Hi Erynne,
Oh your son will be in Heaven when he gets there. They have day programs where he can make a cast of bones as well as touch them.
But make sure you book ahead. They fill up fast in August. You can find out more at the website, under programs.
