malvaviscus penduliflorus trade..want lasiocarpa/gloriosa
If you were willing to send a cutting this side of the border, I could send you a gloriosa tuber this spring.
i will dig for you a plant with roots. i will go ahead and pot it so when you are ready it will be ready... i can also send a cutting, whichever you prefer or one of each. what color is your gloriosa? i am screaming and laughing right now i am so happy. do you have any red spider lilies......do you want some? what other plants are you looking for? what other plants do you have? do you have other vines? what month is best for me to send this plant to you? i am ignorant of canadian gardening. i would be very interested in hearing what you grow. now i have calmed down and i appreciate so much your offering me this trade. thanks zarcanat. also, i sent another canadian some bulbs a week or so ago , so i have filled out the customs form before. have you received plants from american gardeners before and if so, is it hard to get past customs? thanks again and look forward to hearing from you. barb
I did not think I could make someone so happy today ;-) LOL! It is better to wait until april-may before sending living material here because risks associated with frosts. To avoid prohibitive cost, a rooted cutting might be wise. Since it is late, I will communicate later by D-mail with you. Ciao!
zarcanat i just sent almost a pound of lycoris bulbs to canada and the cost was around 5 dollars or so airmail. of course i don't know how long customs hold things up or even if you would have additional charges on your end but i don't ming spending 5 dollars. but i will do it however you say. well let me hear from you and i will plan on doing a trade with you in mar./apr. stay warm. what color is your gloriosa?
The flower is yellow and red like this one http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/4595/. I heard that they are easy to grow from seeds, I will try to collect more of them this summer, I sent the nicests ones to a lucky lady in an exchange. I will put you in my trade tracker to make sure I won't forget ;-))
thanks for doing that. i don't know how to put you in my trade tracker. i am new and just learning all the tools.
It is very easy, you will find all the information needed on each topic by clicking on FAQ.
For example if you need information regarding trading you click on TRADING tab on top of the screen, then underneath the TRADING tab you will see different subjects (| Your TradeList | Other TradeLists | TradeTracker | Trading Primer | F.A.Q. | My Info | Subscription | Advertise | Mail | Logout | )
If you need information on how to post on the different forums then you click on GARDEN TALK and FAQ. etc
