grafting Brugmansias

Union City, CA(Zone 9b)

Where do I look for information ?

Ozark, AL(Zone 8b)

Look up grafting ornamental plants on the web. It's doubtful you will find much if anything relating specifically to Brugmansia however; not because it cannot be done, but because of it's growth habit, (very important to consider) and the focused efforts of growers to create new/better cultivars rather than play with what is already available.
Good luck! ;)

I hope you can get to this thread. I tried to bump it up for you, but I don't see it here yet.

You can find plenty of grafting info on hibiscus but like Lagata said there isn't much effort put into grafting brugs in the last few years. With a very few exceptions it's only been about two years that there has been any genuine effort concentrated on quality brugmansia.
Grafting brugs has been done since at least 1999 here in the USA but we never hear anything more about the process after the initial grafting success. There are so many variables such as growth habit, flowering habit and environmental needs. There has to be a reason that we never hear anything else and I suspect that grafting just isn't suited to brugs as well as it is to other species.
Maybe you will have better results! I hope so! :)
