Pasting documents with tables to DG journal.

Hi,
I have a document that I created in Word 2003 that includes tables when I try and paste this document to my journal as an additional note the table is scrambed. Is there any thing I can do? Also illistrations on pruning techniques I am unable to paste. Thanks Katy
