Hey, that's nothing against those daylilies that go for several hundred apiece! I went to a link somebody posted on the daylily forum last year and just about dropped my teeth!

Trading to get new AVs from friends is my favorite thing, but I do understand people paying "I WANT THAT!!!" prices for beauties like this one.

Oh yes there are so many beautiful plants. But also so many Vendors and friends who have them more than happy to share them with you :))
daylilies wow I've seen them go high and Plumerias and some of all other kinds of plants. Amazing beauties. I sure can see spending the money :))
I guess still above if a vendor has for less or a friend has to share I'd look and go this root first , then if not
I 'd then I would have to decide if I want that variety bad enough !!!!

I use to pay big bucks for leaves and lost a lot of them too :((.
I have paid $9.95 for several Russian plants.
I boguth a few David Senks but re-sold them .

Well, being the newbie I am, $4.95 is the most I've spent for one, but I have a feeling I'll end up paying more one day. I sure do look forward to having leaves and plants to share. Won't be long, I'm sure!
I do share quite a bit with my grandmother, just not so much as to overload her with watering work. She loves plants, but she's older and can't see well so she doesn't get out much to find them for herself. I found houseplants at Lowe's for 50c each (no AVs, but this was before I got my first one). I bought 54 of them and gave her almost half of them. She has so much fun with them. I have a Christmas cactus that just isn't doing well here. The humidity in my house is too low and the buds keep drying up. So I'm going to give that to her. She's looking forward to seeing if she can get it to bloom. I'm thinking she needs some AVs too! LOL

Here is her serach Bob and Anita . Bob the plants that she has go high were Chimeras ! But I have seen many streps go that high also. Ever just a leaf/

allison..anita....the mix up was she was selling 10 leaves of streps and some bunches went for 30 ,40, or more dollars i think....i had bid 15 at one point and didn't come close..lol
