Well - yesterday was a sad day for us. We had to make that awful decision and sent her on her way yesterday. She'd started building fluid in her chest again - was having trouble breathing. The diuretic was not working anymore at the dose she was at. And her blood pressure was so low - they couldn't really give her anything for either of the problems that wouldn't make the other worse. And - we knew we'd only be postponing the inevitable - and she'd be in pain not being able to breathe. So - our wonderful vet who loved Heidi almost as much as we did (still do) helped us send her over the Rainbow Bridge - where some day we'll see her again.
