For those of you who haven't made firm plans as to what to have/make for dinner this weekend, this Sunday marks the 2006 Chinese New Year (Year Of The Dog).

Usually we just bring in some Chinese takeout to accompany a film fest of old Charlie Chan movies, but this time I've decided to take the time to make my own "feast".

I'm currently planning on Egg Drop Soup, Steamed Chinese Dumplings (both chicken & shrimp), & Asian Chicken Wings with Cilantro Dipping Sauce.

Am off to the market to pick up dumpling wrappers (I already have a 3-tier bamboo steamer), & veggies.

Anyone else have plans?
