loretta NO they dont overwinter here!!!
and for posting a new topic-when you click on a forum(like michigan or garden talk)
scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and there you can post the topic(headline) and then fill in your post!
i hope that helps!!! Are you going to come to this get together-i hope so!!! :)
Thanks Dori for the info that's what I was afaid of..!!Now that I have 50 bulbs being shipped, but it's my fault ..I thought they were the same ones I had years ago...!
I sure do plan on being there it sounds like a fun time...Put me down for food and drinks..And maybe 50 bulbs....
Loretta..
notmartha, I just looked at the calendar. June 3rd is a Saturday. Saturday is definately best for me. I have never been to a swap before so I'm looking forward to it.
What kinds of plants should we bring? Perennials, annuals, shrubs? What size is preferred? Gallon or Quart containers.
kathy-bring whatever you have to trade, anything is welcome!!! you can trade anything garden related(never done this but what the heck)books, tools, gifts and all plants are welcome.
Fair trades-think what you would like to recieve in a trade.
I have seen people refuse trades-one lady had these beautiful shrubs she was trainning to spiral and people were offering her ditch daiseys-she flat out said NO and that is fine-the 2people wanting to trade have to agree its a FAIR trade
I also will permit plants to be sold! I have seen this at trades and that woked great-but this would be done after the trading is over.
since I sell plants my pots will be limited-so any containers will work-milk jugs, laundry jugs.
I will be posting about things to bring-maybe later today!
Im glad to see somepeople interested in coming!!! :)
BOUNCE! back to the top
Bounce
Oh for Gods sake. I just looked at the calender and I have to be at Tillers
till 5pm on June 3rd. the van is picking me up at that time.
Wahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was making herb balls for the plant exchange.
Well, I will continue on making them for anyone that wants them.
Wah wah wah.
Sheri....sadly
Not Martha? After looking at your beautiful garden I think that (the other) Martha wants to BE LIKE YOU!

Hi Diane
I dmailed you some time ago but hadn't done much posting on daves then. I live in Hillsdale not far from you and also plan on going. Really look forward to meeting you. Did you know the garden club in Hillsdale is putting on a program on June 17th? Its going to be held at Lorna Amspaugh's on Bacon rd. She has a garden I can only dream of and a wonderful person.

See you then...smiles...Diana

Is Brugs hardy in zone 4? I havent seen any around the Alpena area.
I will be bring 5 different Hydrangea Paniculata. I want to trade for peonies.
Gary
Gary
What color peonies are you looking for? many haven't bloomed yet but could still dig them right before the trip. Brugs do good in pots and you winter them over in the house or take cuttings (which I have to learn how this is my first year with brugs) but many in the cold regions grow them and once you do OH are they addictive my DR Zeus bloomed and I was hooked.
Kim
tomorrow-IM BEAT :)
Hi Dori
You forgot me and Laurie I guess Yvonne can't make it she had a graduation. I'm even bringing the truck
KIm

Hi,
I thought I'd let you know I won't be able to come tomorrow. I just got home from the hospital. Our grandbaby was born tonight and I'm expecting a lot of company this weekend.
I hope you all have a grand time. Will look forward to meeting you again some other time.
Brenda

dori
Hi,
The baby was 8 pounds 9 ounces. Her name is Stacey Nicole. She was 21 inches long. She has a problem with nerve damage to her right shoulder. They xrayed it and it's not broken. She can move her hand OK. We won't know for a few more weeks whether the damage to her shoulder or upper arm is permanent or not. We're praying it is not. She is so sweet and we all love her totally.
It poured here this afternoon in AuGres. I hope it didn't down in Bay City and spoil your get together. I'm always happy to see some rain for the garden. We'll all be crying for rain come July and August.
I hope you post some pics from the plant swap.
Brenda
