CLOSED: Wanted: Perrenials for New House Trade: Botanical Art

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

My wife & I just bought our first house which has nothing planted in the yard. Having lived in student housing and apartments for the past eight years, I don't have any plants to exchange. However, one of my favorite hobbies is drawing in pen & ink (see image of Camassia quamash below). If anyone is interested in trading plants for a drawing(s) of their favorite flower or plant let me know.

I'm particularly interested in plants with really strong shapes, textures, and forms.

Some of my favorites are:
Hardy Euphorbias (especially Cushion Spurge), Yuccas (5b hardy), Sedums (all types, especially large ones), Geraniums (not pelargoniums), Hostas, Heucheras, Heucharellas, Tiarellas, Chrysanthemum & Relatives (5b hardy & early fall blooming, shast daisies, feverfew), Dianthus (but not Sweet William types) Iris (all types), Bulbs (most types), Lilly-of-the-Valley, & anything relatively hardy with great year-round form & color (a good flower show is nice also).

I'm also starting a vegetable garden. I have all the seeds I need, but I could use perennial herbs, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and I'll even take a few Jerusalem artichokes if any one has some creeping out into their lawn.

Lovely-will also d-mail you. I won't be digging here though until---whenever winter decides to really end...:)

I should note that to do a drawing I might need a good quality photograph of the plant you want drawn. I have a good collection of photos, but I've had a couple of requests for really unusual plants.

The image I posted earlier doesn't really show too much detail. This one is much larger.

I will be uploading a few others that I've done...I still need to do some scanning, but here is a pair of tulips that have already been scanned.

Thanks everybody for your interest and kind comments. I have enough people wanting drawings in exchange for plants that I am going to close this thread. Feel free to leave comments, but I'm no longer available for drawings. I may open this thread, or create a new post in the future when I've caught up with my current obligations.

Thanks Again!

I should note that I made the mistake of offering a drawing on ebay. It is currently selling for $0.01 if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/Botanical-Illustration-Art-Pen-Ink-NR-Not-a-Print_W0QQitemZ7388670593QQcategoryZ552QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I just finished my next drawing. Here it is. I am still maxed out on the amount of people who want originals. However, I would be willing to do a signed numbered print of any of the drawings posted here in exchange for about 10 plants from my "wanted" list (all of the same variety or a mix).
