Wow, I love the way that first photo shows the sparkle on Pride's Pink Trail!

And you knew I'd love seeing 'Simplicity'! Girl foliage *and* a beautiful double bloom!

Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks Jill they are so much more pretty in person ! Would you like a Simplicity AV baby ?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh, you know I would love one! You're very sweet!

I think we'd better make sure Dave adds a special section for AVs to next year's photo contest... :-)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh wow simplicity and blue dragon..I am so drooling here :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks Amy !
did you see your Dmail !

Yes, I did and thank you! I got a very pretty journal in a round robin swap I was in and I'm using it to record all my AV information in. :o) I've never journaled, but I'm having so much fun journaling AV information and what I'm doing with them, that I may just have to start one for other things.
That sure was a lot easier for you being able to copy and paste all that info, wasn't it? Glad you got help figuring that out. What a timesaver!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh my goodness yes I was having to go back and forth and typing it and it was hard to see from bed. Not to mention I'd get the reg. number fo back get date, go back get hybridizer go back get sode info go back and fourth typing from FC to people Dmails took me hours lol. Thank God Jill taught me this and here I did not know this for years. lol

I don't like having to type something I'm reading from. I always mess up and going back and forth is a pain. Now you have more time to take pictures! LOL

Great pics Allison -

Raingazer, you made me think that I should add my AV's to my gardening database - I've been working on creating one in Microsof Access. Here's a link to the thread that got that all started. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/562784/

great pictures Allison.

Thank you everyone !

Anita, I found one at the Microsoft site that I like pretty well. I started out putting all my houseplants in it, but got way behind. I think I'll start a new one for AVs, but I still want a hard copy to refer to quickly.

Amy, have you ever heard of or tried Fran's database? I'm going to give it a shot (it's free) http://tucows.com/preview/204716
and see if I have any luck. I've made my own table type database but it's getting so memory intensive with images that it takes for ever to scroll through.

No, I haven't seen that one, but I'm going there now. The one I have is alright, but when I put a picture in it, it completely messed up the formatting. It would be great to have one that could handle pictures! Thanks for the link!

well, I tried it and it's for the old OS for Mac. Bummer! I can still use it, but it operates way slow. back to the drawing board.

I'll just delete it, then. I hadn't tried to open it, but we've got WinXP, so no chance of it working here. Thanks for sharing, though.

so I went to microsoft to take a look at their templates and found a hilarious one called 'Garden Budget', Ha Ha Ha, they never heard of an african violet/begonia maniac! garden budget is like an oxymoron to me! Yea, I got a budget alright, all dispensable income goes into my garden. hee hee hee.

ROFL That's a good one! ;o)

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

LOLOLOL...tell me about it - and I'm just starting on the AV's. You should see me in the spring with my outside gardening..YIKES!!! I'd probably go through less if I smoked it!

Denver, CO

The only way I remember my Garden is on a budget is when it is gone! A great way to make sure I don't overdo it, say.

I just close my eyes when the credit card bill comes - my checks tend to be sloppy since I fill them out with eyes closed too!!! [just kidding]
