Embarrassing Vet/Pet Moments

Dutton, AL(Zone 7a)

While reading another post on how hard it was to sometimes get your pet to the vet's office, I was reminded of one of the most embarrassing things that ever happened to me. About 10yrs ago, I took my cat, Alley, to the vet b/c he wasn't feeling well. The vet decided to test Alley's blood, and I was helping keep him still while he prepared to draw it. I've never been good about having my own drawn, but it didn't occur to me I might not be able to take watching an animal's. As soon as the syringe started to fill, I saw it and passed out cold on the floor. The vet let Alley go to try and help me, and Alley of course ran to the front lobby. It was a busy Saturday morning, full of people and pets, and Alley was chased all over the building by 3dogs who broke free of their owners after they saw him running wild. Of course everyone had to come into the office and look at me laying there on the floor too. Alley, and me, were fine, once we got home and both of us calmed down, but I could never face that vet's office again. He was excellent, but I was too humiliated and switched to a different one that I've gone to ever since.
Has anyone else ever had an embarrassing experience with your pet or at the vet's office? Let's hear them! Thanks, Nicole
