while grooming the av's....and cutting off dead buds...i see little leaves growing on the stems where the buds were?...i vaguely remember seeing this 40 years ago...so refresh me!!

Those are bloom stalk leaves they can be progated. My Chimera gave me like five bloom stalk basket babies :)) Where on the bloom stalk was not just little leaves but full crowns growing :))

Wow, I never heard of a bloom stalk leaf. Is that like a sucker? Allison, you are like a walking AV dictionary. : ) So glad you get to do this every day.
Well they can be just too leaves on a bloom stalk can be progated true. But mine grew babies called baskets
and they look like tiny suckers or crowns which is great gifts when it comes to Chimera. The picture is all one plant all were baskets growing on bloom stalks
of my trailing Chimera :)) I pot them up and they will grow true blooming Chimera plants !

Bob I even have some on one of my Strep Plant. One of the flower stalks was thicker and more green and has two little leaves on it. I still kept it there even though the flowers die. And then I have another one on the same plant that now has a leaf about inch or so
. I tried taking pictures last night . Hard to see them.
