I received this from a friend today. I have no idea what her name is, if anyone can identify, that would be wonderful. Just thought I would share, she is a beauty. The undersides of her leaves are purple. Enjoy!!

Who am I
I don't think your picture went thourgh. But do know that it is practically impossible to ID an AV, sorry! There are tens of thousands of cultivars, and many-many look-alikes, sports, chimeras, and unregistered or unnamed ones.

bet allison ..lorry and others might see it in First Class registry?
Sorry it's impossible to ever ID a NOID African Violet. Some people guess or may come close but with so many look alikes you can never be sure. Sorry.
Welcome to our African violet forum ! Allison
Thanks all for advice and the welcome. I thought it would be difficult to ID as there are thousands of them out there. She sure is purdy though..

She is gorgous ! Thanks for sharing ! Allison
Fancy.
What an amazing bloom!
First Class does have a few possiblilites if it really is a named AV... I did a search just for fun, on "double pink white ruffled edge" blossom and "red back" foliage. Assuming the foliage is't variegated or longifolia, I found these 3:
All That Jazz (6699) 07/10/1987 (J. Domiano) Semidouble pink star/purple sparkle overlay, white ruffled edge. Dark green, quilted, glossy/red back. Large (DAVS 1020)
Taffy Sweet (6644) 06/01/1987 (H. Pittman) Double pink/white ruffled edge. Dark green, ruffled/red back. Standard
Rebel's Strawberry Bites (9085) 12/03/2001 (R. Bann) Semidouble bright pink two-tone large star/white ruffled edge. Dark green, spooned, quilted, glossy, scalloped/red back. Standard
(there are pictures of this one.... really looks a lot like yours)
But if it didn't come with a name, there's no way to be sure it even has a registered name.... However, sometimes it's useful to be able to say your noid has a named lookalike, just to help with describing it.
TamiF,
That is a beautiful plant. I love the way the edges of the leaves are all ruffled. It really is pretty.
