Very very easy to germinate, I'll let you know if I come across some.

Hi my friends :) How long do they take to germinate?

How do you collect the seed ..
Here is a pic of mine...

There is an Asian lady near me who grows these from seed all the time...she does my nails.....I don't think I have the nerve to ask her to give me any, but I am thinking about asking what she would charge for the seeds. She grows them beautifully from seed. I have a beautiful intensely hot pink one that came from her seed. The pods are giant (about 8" long) on them. I know i can catch them this summer with a panty hose...last summer the wind blew them off and I lost all the seeds. You won't and can't miss the pods as they are long and skinny.

Look for the brownest long skinny thing in this pic and you will see what the pod looks like...I had 3 this size last summer

I talked to the Asian couple and they don't want to sell any of their seeds, but he told me that Walmart in Rockport, Texas...close by to me that they have them. i called Walmart and she said that they have quite a few...they are 12" tall and costs 13.95 each....If someone wants to trade me for some wonderful tropical plant, I will be happy to get one and ship it to you in return for you shipping to me something else. (maybe even good tropical seeds)

How lucky for you Peggy, 50 cents! Great deal. I never see them by us.
I would love to start one from seed. I know they take forever to grow though.
Someday I guess. Right now I have a lot of clivias I just started from seed and it all takes up
precious seed starting room under my lights for my regular garden plants.

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

I don't know why this post resurfaced but the original is over 1 yr old.
Adeniums sprout easily from seed. I just sowed some I bought from Thailand and so far I have about 11 babies that are about 2 inch tall. Just soaked them overnight and plant. Put in bright warm spot to germinate.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

OH my I saw some postings above with year 2007.
Yes their easy to grow by seed. There is a wonderful seller who sells them 100 seeds for about $12.95 shipping included. They are from Thailand.
They also sell seedlings very low cost. Me I need the plants no time to wait on seedling to grow but if you have the time lots of fun for beautiful plants !

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

If you have the time to wait. I have a few seeds can share. They are older, but have been stored properly.

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Well, seeds would be a lot easier to ship to Pakistan.
I doubt a plant would survive the trip.

Has anybody heard from Kaleem since his post on Jan 25th??

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

I was trying to find and attach this site.
This is a Pakistan newspaper and I was looking for weather conditions which is a minor hobby of mine, the weather around the world... well anyway here's this news item about internet blog sites and the similar way they assisted with information to the response here in US at the time of Katrina.

I Dmailed him and posted over where he posted a new thread last week to come l@@K :))

Mirpur (A.K), Pakistan(Zone 9b)

Thank you every body for pouring life in my this dead thread. DG members and great.
Last year when I was looking for the seeds a man from Thanland sent me 10 different species, I sowed and had little babis but kileed many of them because of little knowledge.
Now I have only three little species those are only survivors. Hope this year they will also have blooms.
I am working and same time doing my masters so time is great problem and MONEY also......LOL, So this year no budget for plants and seeds.
Seeds and plants can send to Pakiistan because Govt. of pakistan allowed both. I received and sent plants and seeds lots of time and arrived both side.
These days weather is so bad here and we are having rains from last ten days. I am too much worry about my plants.
