My new Optimaras

These are the ones I got at Lowe's night before last. They are in 4" pots. They say to go to Optimara.com to identify them, but I've been there and I can't identify them. Anyone else want to give it a shot?

Here's the first one. The flowers start out white with just purple edges, but as they mature the purple spreads up the petals. I didn't get a shot of the mostly white blooms, but I'll try to get that posted later tonight.

Here's another one of that same one. I had to turn the flash off because they were too washed out with it on.

did you got to http://otimara/info?

that's where i found mine...i'll look also...love the colors...glad you got them

This is the second one. This picture looks a bit more pink than the actual blooms are, at least to me. It's pinkish-lavender, where the first one is purple.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

that last one looks pretty much like the optimara rita i saw there...little variation..they are so pretty i think

And here's the last one. I love the pure white flowers with the purple pistil (that is the pistil, right? still learning flower anatomy). It's what caught my eye. I was really tickled to find these!

I went there, Bob, but I couldn't figure it out. One of them looked like my third picture above, and when I clicked to see the whole plant, the blooms were colored almost solid, with a small bit of white in the center. My ID skills leave something to be desired. LOL I'll go check out O. Rita...

might be the Dali again....forgot about that one...ck it out

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

ck out harlequin also..they are neat

Dali is the one I was talking about above, where the flower is much more saturated with color than mine. Suppose that could be it?

Oh well, whatever they are, I still love 'em! ;o)

It looks very much like your Dali! I love Clementine, too!

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

it does look like Dali :)
I have one which was a lovely gift from bob :)

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

So pretty. I bought one of those "Optimara" go to the site, etc. I was silly enough to think I'd be able to figure it out, but I don't have the knowledge to do so. It has just begun to bud, not bloomed yet- will post picture when it does bloom.
It's nice to know what you have, but sometimes they are so pretty, like yours, that it may not be that important to be able to id them. Really, whatevery they are they are gorgeous! Wish my Lowes had anything close to that!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

It could be Opt. Dali... but it's impossible to tell for sure. They don't even name them anymore and so many look alike. Also Optimara series Rhapsody is one of their series and lot's of the plants sold are them too ! April I sent you Rhapsodie Clementine
as I saw it on your wish list :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Amy I like the white one with the purple that's cool you don't see that often :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

The Dali look a like. Also looks like Rhapsodie Rosalie,
and Rhapsodie Candy 11 .
Might look like more just a few in FC with pictures that look just like yours :)) I like FC better as it gives more detail of description of foliage ...I would not worry about names they are beautiful and yours :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Sorry guys Optimara Kansas 11 , has the same patched blossoms as your's alos :)) FC has pictures Of all the ones I've mentioned. I love patches :))

Thank you all! I'm really tickled with them! I think I'll call the one NOID/Optimara Dali, at least that way I can remember what it looks like, and I'll pick the most similar for the other one. And I don't even see one like the white one, but that's alright, cause I just had to have it when I saw the purple!
April, it's rare for our Lowe's to have ones like this. They always have tons of the solid dark maroon and solid dark purple ones, which are lovely themselves, but those are ALL they ever have. The two above were the only two bicolored ones they had so I snatched them up! Who knows when they'll have any kind of assortment again. I've always looked at the AVs when I would go to Lowe's, but like I said in one of my very first posts here, my grandmothers always told me AVs were extremely difficult to keep, so I always just looked and then passed on by. I've since learned they're no where near as difficult as I was always led to believe. It's still a little nagging thought in the back of my mind, but I'm sure I'll get over it soon. I'm having pretty good success so far!
Allison, I'm hoping to be able to get FC soon. It must be wonderful to have all that information at your fingertips.

Well, on the bright side, at least we know they're Optimaras! LOL
