Question on hoya care

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

I know this has been addressed on this forum before, and I looked through some old threads but can't find it. So bear with me, please. For those of you that use a regimen of Eleanors and Super Thrive, how do you use it? The Eleanor's says not to use it in conjunction with other plant food products. But I THINK I remember that some of you use both. Could you share your plant fertilization/care program with me? On the same day that my Eleanor's arrived in the mail, I had found Super Thrive at Walmart. So I've got both and want to use them, but don't want to burn my plants!! Thanks! Karen

Me too...I want to know.

I am through with Messenger. Not at all thrilled with it.

I use ST all year now. In spring (which around here is next month), I start adding some fertilizer also. I vary the kinds. Every other time I use Shultz "Plant Food Plus" 10-15-10. As the weather warms, I start alternating that with "Bloom" kinds (right now I have Peters) with a very high middle number (50).
The Eleanors I use in a spray bottle & spray it on the leaves 3 or 4 times a week (I used to do it every morning, but decided that was a bit much). I use that all through the spring & summer months.

Karen,

I use superthrive on my new cuttings, or plants that I have divided. Other than that I rarely use it. And I use it every watering until I can see a difference in the plant.

Eleanors I mostly just use in a spray bottle, and I use it alot, and sometimes I spray 3 or 4 times a day. Doesn't seem to bother it. I have only had my Eleanor's for about 6 months or so. Seems to be helping. I sprayed with it during the winter, but used no other fertilizer at all.

It's getting about time to put some heavy blooming fertilizer in your plants, I already did a couple of weeks ago, but my hoya's grow all winter long. Carol posted something about it not to long ago. I use Schultz 10-60-10 during the summer every other watering and spray 3 or 4 times a day with the Eleanors.

Everybody does it different, but I don't think that Eleanors will burn your plants. HTH.
