Amethyst glass bottle?

I understand that amethyst glass bottles are rare, hard to find and can bring a pretty penny, I have also heard that alot of amethyst bottles were once a different color and are faded from the sun, maybe they were once brown or what ever. I was wondering if anyone knows about this bottle
please excuse all the pictures I was trying to show you what the color truely looks like and the writing that is on the bottle. Look close, there are air bubbles, and it never had a screw on cap, I'm thinking it came with a cork top.
the front of the bottle says: GUARANTEED FULL QUART
the bottom says: A&W
