Crinums

Hi All
I just found the webstie for Lushlife nurseries and Jenksfarmer
They are in SC and the images are beautiful.

Do any of you have any experience with this supplier? Sorry, nothing on GWD thus far....but oh those seductive images!

I do not know anything about the business but I do know Jenks and I would trust him to live up to his word. He has been a collector and hybridizer of crinums for many years. It is nice to see he is starting a retail business.

If you think his photos are gorgeous you should see his garden designs.

on your post, I went ahead and ordered 3 crinums. You did not exaggerate. The bulbs are huge, Jenks emailed answers to my questions and I could not be happier with taking a risk on this vendor.

The bulbs came marked so I could tell who was whom and they came full of roots. If anyone has ever ordered bulbs that came in a bag, you know tha sometimes the roots are knocked off, these are packaged in a long box with inner corrugated cardboard to keep them happy and protect those precious roots.

Thank you again for your good faith, it made the difference for me. I'll post pictures when they bloom later this year

Is this something that could be "rested' for the winter, like glads or dahlia?
I've never heard of them. Very nice.
