I'm a first-time mother for a strep!! Yippee...I just checked this morning. When I got my Susie a leaf had broken off, so I figured what the heck and Viola!!!
My Strep has babies!!

Yup that's a baby me not April. lol Their very easy to root ! Tons of info and pictures in our sticky too !
Laurie took step by step pictures of her's too not sure if this made it into the Sticky but were really great ! They root faster than Av's and two inch peice of leaf can give you 20-60 plantlets. One leaf is one baby. There are not crowns with Streps ! FUN ! Maybe I'll get some pictures of the few babie Streps I rooted :))
If mine root Ali, then I'll make a sticky with a new thread. No progress so far except that they aren't dead or rotted.

laurie...that seems promising to me.......everytime i'm out now...i find myself looking for begonias and thinking..."wonder if she would like tht one"...lol
Well, I never met a begonia that I didn't love! There are a few I got flustered with, but still enamored with them all!
When I'm in Miami next month, I know someone is going to have to hold my wallet so I don't have to take out a mortgage on my house to get home with all my new babies.
laurie..we will be very excited to see you...today at walmart they had the "common"...hate that word....begonias for 76cents....i'm hoping my friend who is the garden manager at the beach store will reduce the Reigers some time...they are my favorite...while the others make a great "splash" i think.

Thanks everyone - I was so excited. Here's a picture of the Momma - and she's not even in a full bloom yet. She hangs out in a south facing window, but since there is an overhang, she's doesn't get direct light.

Susie Sunshine. I got her from ebay - http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZnamasflowersQQhtZ-1 I don't think they have anything right now. I also got Captain Blood from them [If I am looking it up correctly that is Christmas Morning].
I have Christmas morning and growing Babies . Maybe I can send one with your Alsobia Cygnet if it's ready or a leaf if it's not :))
That would be wonderful, either way! Once mamma gets more leaves, I'll gladly send you one? I think when this one matures a bit more, I'll introduce it to my mother. She loves AV's so I can probably plant a seed for her to enjoy other Gessie's.
