i live in eastern washington,i am wondering if any one knows where to buy grow bags?or the cheapest place i should say. i am going to give market gardening a shot. sure hope someone has some good ideas.
grow bags
I bought some on ebay last month. I've never used them before and was curious to give them a try. I found several different sizes when I was looking.

Julie, do not use potting soil to fill them. It's way too heavy. Use a sphagnum perlite mix, like ProMix.

I did my first vegetable market last year. There are posts I made of my progress, someplace. :)
I too, was looking for "Gro-Bags" at that time and had a hard time finding them. As a matter of fact, when I did find them, it was way to late in the season to use them. Which worked out for the best in my oppinion.
I went to our local Ice Cream place and asked if they had any empty containers they would like to get rid of. Low and behold, they had large white containers already washed and stacked in the back room. (again, search out the posts I started and you'll see the containers in the pictures)
The containers are a little over 5 Gallon each. I drilled drain holes in the bottoms. At the end of the season, I stacked them up in nice neat stacks and put them away for the next season's use. You can't do that with Gro-Bags. Once they are used, they are impossible to use again. The Gro-Bags I found were more expensive by the time I would have paid for shipping and like I said, they could only be used once. These containers can be used for years and were half the cost. I think I paid 25 cents each.
This worked great for me. I wasn't sure I'd do very well with the market, so I didn't want to throw money away needlessly. As it turned out, the market did fantastic and I have containers already paid for from the profits of this past summer and don't have that expense again this year. So, the profit this year won't go into more growing containers. (it will go into more stuff to grow) :)
I make a little and spend a lot. lol
I just bought some from Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92235
