Lightning Strike!

Our house was hit by lightning a few months ago. Thee of our computers were DOA, one 'died' but miraculously came back to life two days later, just turned it's self back on and started functioning... About a month after that, that computer started loosing it's mind and died. Our insurance adjuster didn't think that was out of the ordinary at all.

My question is, how long after a lighting strike do you know for sure that your electronics are ok?
